Finally on our way to Cleveland. Thunderstorms caused us to take off MUCH later than expected. Our 8:30pm flight taxied down the runway at 1:30am.

Groovin' at Lindsay's Bat Mitzvah. Sean and I headed to Cleveland to celebrate Ivy's daughter Lindsay's "transformation into womanhood". It was a GREAT party. They had a Summer Camp theme including your own water bottle and yummy smores. We danced the night away. Nothing like a group of 13 year olds to get the party started...

It was a weekend of partying. We woke up on Sunday and headed over to the Santner Cousin Reunion Brunch at my Mom's house. Some of my favorite people on the planet were there...especially the Pavelda sisters, Jan, Sharon, Susan and Ruth Ann.

After a full day of laughter, amazing stories and great food...Ruth Ann capped off the night with a Rap. She rocked the house down.

The Unfortunate Sunglasses Incident.

6:30am. Monday morning. Sean and I were barely awake and rushing to catch our 8am flight back to New York. When it happened. It's really my fault, if you think about it. Sean had already brought down all of his luggage when I asked him to run back upstairs and get mine. A true gentleman, he scooted up to retrieve the rest of the stuff. On his way, he bumped his head on the archway of the door. Hard. All would have been fine had he not had a pair of sunglasses resting atop his head. It took a few moments to realize what was happening, but when we did, we couldn't believe it.

The sunglasses were stuck in his head. Like not moving. Somehow, he had hit his head so hard that a piece had embedded itself in his head! A few days before, one of the little plastic nose pieces had fallen off his glasses, leaving just the naked metal. We assumed that part was lost inside Sean's poor skull.

Try as we might, we couldn't dislodge them. Admittedly I got a little woozy thinking about it. Sean was a trooper and remained calm. Finally, we all decided to call 911. My Dad described the situation to the dispatcher and within minutes we heard the sirens approaching.

Three handsome (of course) paramedics arrived. After assessing the situation, (a new one they had never seem before) they were able to remove the culprit. With very little pain! And, the glasses were still intact. A good thing because Sean is quite fond of his specs.

I took a picture. They headed out. We made our plane with time to spare.

Dinner with Sean's fantastic friends Smitty & Sara. We had a lovely night of puppetry, great conversation and steak frites. This was my first time meeting both of them, but by the end of the night, I felt we were friends. I can't wait to spend more time with them both.

A quiet night at home. I cleaned and watched Dateline. They are currently airing shows about internet sex offenders. This guy was JUST about ready to get arrested.

Dinner at our favorite new restaurant, Il Bagatto. Great food, great ambiance. We always sit at table #4.
