to my dear ones...

i found this great quote online the other day...

"a false friend and a shadow attend only when the sun shines."

all of you...every last one of you...have attended on some really serious cloudy days. when it would have been more fun to be in the sun...you were there. with courage, thought, passion, advice and humor. with your truth and your love. you are true friends. and i thank you dearly.

today is my birthday...and as my mom says...the first day of the rest of my life. as corny as it sounds, it's true. i didn't take this picture today, but i took it on a day that was fresh and full of promise. a day that was sunny. a day when my shadow was strong and clear to me. it was inspiring...

so i have decided to take a picture every single day. for 365 days. until i reach that incredible age of 35. until we have a HUGE party. every day of the next year will be showcased here. i don't expect to download shots EVERY day, but hopefully every week or so. i'll share a story, a day, a fear, a hope, a laugh.

whether i talk to you 10 times a day or every 10 weeks, you are so important to me. you wouldn't be reading this if you weren't. on this day i thank you for the gift of friendship. i couldn't ask for a better present for my birthday.

so enjoy the pics. enjoy my everyday moments of life. enjoy YOUR everyday moments of life. remember to take risks, laugh often and live your truth.
